Lisa Bone overturned Hayley Preen’s King Price Race to the Sea dominance with a patient, intelligent ride. 🏆
The Cycle Nation Enza Construction rider and her ChemChamp Honeycomb rival were the day’s main protagonists, after Preen claimed the King Price QOM atop Rusty Gate and rode clear with Bone and Sarah Maré. Maré was distanced after 50km of the 153km course, and was later caught by Alyssa Larish after battling the headwinds solo for 40km. ⚡️
Up front, Bone and Preen swapped turns and looked inseparable, until the final 200m. Bone’s kick on the climb to the Benguela Cove line was just too explosive for Preen. 👀
Larish rolled home 3rd, ahead of Maré, who has one eye on the final Ford Trailseeker Series race next weekend, and Chloé Hopf. 👏
