Flames head coach Kalisto Pasuwa has named a 31-member squad for Malawi’s 2026 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches against South Sudan and Angola next week.
The Flames will host South Sudan on 25 September before travelling to Angola 10 days later for the second Group B fixture.
The squad includes 19 foreign-based players, among them Mayele Malango of Sacramento Republic FC.
Pasuwa has also handed maiden senior national team call-ups to Blessings Kanowa of Nankatsu SC in Japan, Jorden Kananga of Zacatepec FC in Mexico, England-based Shaquille Gwengwe of Newport County, Adiel Kaduya of Mustangs University, and locally based Peter Ng’ambi and Ajussa Kalowa.
Mozambique-based forwards Richard Mbulu and Babatunde Adepoju have also been included, alongside Germany-based forward Mwisho Mhango and United States-based forward Henry Kumwenda.
