The future of the Porterville Showgrounds is in our hands.

These two remarkable people have been part of the Showgrounds for many years. They remember the days when Porterville was a regular stop on the show circuit, with the grounds full of life, horses, families and community spirit. They also witnessed the difficult years that followed.

Today, a dedicated committee is working hard to restore the Porterville Showgrounds to the vibrant community asset it once was. But passion alone isn’t enough—we need people who believe in its future.

Every new member strengthens our ability to maintain, improve and grow this special place. Whether you’re an equestrian, a community supporter, or simply someone who wants to preserve an important part of Porterville’s heritage, your membership matters.

This old lady has served our community faithfully for generations. With your support, she can once again become a place where memories are made and traditions continue.

🚜 Werknemer van die Maand… weer eens! 😂

Ontmoet ons oudste personeellid. Sy is verby aftree-ouderdom, het meer herstelwerk gehad as wat ons kan tel, drink petrol asof dit uit die mode gaan, en elke vreemde geluid gee ons 'n mini-hartaanval.

Maar op een of ander manier daag sy steeds op vir werk en hou ons terrein pragtig vir die kinders. 💚

Hoe meer lede by die Porterville-skouterrein aansluit, hoe meer fondse het ons om hierdie getroue ou meisie aan die gang te hou. Elke lidmaatskap help om vir haar volgende "spa-dag" by die werktuigkundige te betaal! 😅

Help ons asseblief om haar uit aftrede te hou. Sy het nog 'n paar grasperke oor! 🌱💚

🚜 Employee of the Month… again! 😂

Meet our oldest staff member. She’s well past retirement age, has had more repairs than we can count, drinks fuel like it’s going out of fashion, and every strange noise gives us a mini heart attack.

But somehow, she still turns up for work and keeps our grounds looking beautiful for the children. 💚

The more members who join the Porterville Showgrounds, the more funds we have to keep this faithful old girl going. Every membership helps pay for her next “spa day” at the mechanic! 😅

Please help us keep her out of retirement. She still has a few more lawns left in her! 🌱💚
