A truly unique linear journey on your MTB. PE PLETT is becoming a must-do event on the MTB calendar.

Only 300 riders each year get a chance to ride this most diverse and amazing route from Plettenberg Bay to Port Elizabeth. The 2016 race will see the introduction of a new LITE category which is a shorter and easier route and affords those not so serious riders the opportunity to be part of this 4 Day MTB adventure. The LITE is perfectly designed as a family affair so bring your wife, dad or lad a

long. 4 4 days of great riding is guaranteed. This new format gives us some great options to take the Tough One riders on a whole new adventure into the Tsitsikamma , Suuranys and Kouga Mountains and be exposed to 4 Eastern Cape bike parks with some of SA’s finest single track.

For six incredible years - and heading into our seventh next year in 2027 - M&G Investments has backed the M&G Investments PE PLETT all the way. They are a title sponsor that is truly, deeply invested in the journey. Taking riders along the most beautiful and brutal coastline in the country requires a team that goes the extra mile, and M&G Investments showed up in a massive way this year to elevate the entire rider experience.

A huge thank you to Nutri-Go South Africa for powering our riders throughout the event.🍫🔋

From dedicated water points each day to keep riders hydrated on the route, to supplying the protein that fuelled the smoothie bar in the Chill Zone, Nutri-Go South Africa played a key role in helping our athletes perform and recover.

Every rider also received a Nutri-Go bar in their race pack, with even more samples waiting at the finish area. This gave riders the chance to refuel, recover and try different flavours after each stage.

We are grateful for the support and for helping keep our riders energised from start to finish.

The 2026 M&G Investments PE PLETT delivered an unforgettable 4 days across the stunning Garden Route – Four days of riding. Countless climbs. One unforgettable journey.

And just like that, it was over. Four unforgettable days along South Africa’s breathtaking Garden Route.

We rolled out from St Francis Links in St Francis Bay, riding past Oyster Bay and climbing above Clarkson before descending the Phoenix Trail into Assegaaibosch. From there, the route carried us over Kareedouw Pass and deep into the Tsitsikamma Forest, with nights at Tsitsikamma Lodge & Spa beneath the trees.

The final chapter delivered iconic Garden Route scenery as we crossed Bloukrans Bridge, rode through Storms River Pass and descended into Nature's Valley.

Over 268 kilometers, more than 4,000 meters climbed. A sold-out field for the third year running. More than a race, it was a shared journey, and the real finish line lives in the memories made along the way.
