Call for applications: Creative Industries Facilitator Programme
The Craft and Design Institute (CDI) together with Social Enterprise Academy is running a training programme to enhance the skills of facilitators working in the creative industries in South Africa.
The training will take place between 26 February and 7 March in Cape Town.

About the training:
The training is aimed at Craft and Design sector development facilitators as well as Creative Arts facilitators.
The main purpose of the training is to develop facilitation skills to enable the development of current and future creative practitioners and entrepreneurs. Through this, the programme aims to contribute to growing the creative economy in South Africa.
The selected participants will also be trained in:
• Basic business content to enable them to facilitate better interactions and conversations with craft producers, visual artists and designers in their provinces,
• Techniques to enable creativity, critical thinking, problem solving and collaboration in learners – which will help create future creative leaders, entrepreneurs and innovative businesses.
The training will be based in Cape Town and will coincide with ‘design week’ in Cape Town. Participants will, for example, have an opportunity to attend some elements of the
# CoCreate Design Festival, which the CDI is involved in hosting.

You have to participate relentlessly in the manifestations of your own blessings. And once you have achieved a state of happiness, you must never become lax about maintaining it. You must make a mighty effort to keep swimming upward into that happiness forever, to stay afloat on top of it.”
