A winter afternoon of solo piano masterworks. 🎹✨

Due to unforeseen health reasons, our wonderful flutist, Liesl Stoltz, is unfortunately unable to perform this Sunday, and our planned duo recital is postponed. We are sending her our warmest wishes for a speedy recovery!

However, we are incredibly excited to announce that Jan Hugo will still be taking the stage at The Old Chapel Music Room this Sunday for a spectacular solo piano recital. Jan has stepped up with an exquisite program featuring the works of Rameau, Couperin, Mozart, Chopin, Liszt, and Franck.

Join us for a cozy, intimate afternoon showcasing the brilliance of the solo piano—the perfect antidote to a chilly Cape Town Sunday.

Come spend Pentecost Sunday afternoon with us at the Old Chapel Music Room! Férrol-Jon Davids (on clarinet), Rosamund Roth (on cello), and Jan Hugo have put together a lovely chamber music programme, and Jan has chosen to perform it on our 1860s Broadwood piano.

Its warm, intimate sound is quite unique in South Africa, and we think it brings a special character to these pieces. It should be a beautiful way to end the day, and we'd love to have you with us.
