📢 PART-PAYMENT OPTION: IMPORTANT CLARIFICATION

Runners who selected the part-payment option when submitting their General Ballot application, don’t worry if your ballot application confirmation reflects the full entry fee.

If you are successful in the ballot draw, only 50% of the applicable 2027 Comrades Marathon entry fee will be deducted from the card you provided.

The remaining 50% must be paid by 16:30 SAST on 31 January 2027.

Please ensure that sufficient funds are available on your nominated card, as automatic deductions following the ballot draw will take place on 25 and 26 September 2026.

THE GENERAL BALLOT IS OFFICIALLY OPEN! 🏃‍♀️💨

Your chance to line up for the historic 100th edition of the Comrades Marathon on Sunday, 13 June 2027 is live.

The General Ballot application window is open to SA, Rest of Africa, and International runners who have not yet secured an entry.

📌 Important Ballot Application Info:

✅Application Deadline: Tuesday, 22 September 2026 at 16:30 SAST

✅No Need to Rush: The ballot application process is not first-come, first-served, and applying on Day 1 does not increase your chances!

✅Tokenisation Fee: A non-refundable R10 fee is payable upon submitting your application

✅Payment Flexibility: If selected, a 50% part-payment option will be available to secure your spot

Take your time, ensure your details are captured accurately, and submit your application at www.comrades.com or via the Comrades Marathon app.
