It is with sincere regret that the Fort Nottingham Highland Gathering (FNHG) Organising Committee announces the postponement of the much-anticipated joint event with the MPO Dairy Fest, originally scheduled to be held at Fordoun Hotel and Spa over the weekend of 23rd August 2025.

Due to ongoing concerns surrounding the spread of foot and mouth disease (FMD) among cattle herds in KwaZulu-Natal, this precautionary measure has been deemed necessary to ensure the wellbeing of both livestock and the wider agricultural community.

We remain hopeful as we have been assured that vaccination efforts against FMD are progressing, with an anticipated rollout before the end of the year. Based on this development, the joint event is now tentatively rescheduled for Quarter 2 of 2026.

To our passionate supporters, dedicated teams, and collaborative partners—thank you for your unwavering enthusiasm and understanding. The Highland spirit remains strong, and we are committed to delivering a vibrant, safe, and unforgettable celebration at the earliest opportunity.

As soon as a suitable date has been established, we will inform every accordingly.
