30th May 2026

Beautiful sunshine and plenty of visitors! 🌞⭐
We welcomed participants from all over the UK🇬🇧 and Australia 🇦🇺 (as well as Fish Hoek 🇿🇦)

This week 246 people ran, jogged and walked the course
1️⃣ 58 were first timers
📢 18 recorded new Personal Bests.
🏃🏻🏃🏼‍♀️ Representatives of 25 different clubs took part.
🐩🐕 20 four legged friends

Zandvlei parkrun - Event number 425

A pre marathon parkrun for some Cape Town Marathon participants - GOOD LUCK to you all!

This week 274 people ran, jogged and walked the course.

1️⃣ 76 were first timers, with visitors from the USA 🇺🇲 the UK including Scotland (Inverness), 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Ireland (Dublin), 🇮🇪 South Hampton 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 and New Zealand 🇳🇿
🏅31 recorded new Personal Bests.
🏃🏽🏃🏾‍♀️Representatives of 46 different clubs took part.
🐕 14 four legged friends

🎉 CONGRATULATIONS TO Gary o'Leary from Dover completing his 300th parkrun

This week 206 people ran, jogged and walked the course, of whom 25 were first timers and 22 recorded new Personal Bests. Representatives of 16 different clubs took part.

Dogs at Zandvlei parkrun ?
We love them! 💜 but please remember we must follow global parkrun rules.

A full list below, but in short:
🐕 Only one dog is permitted per parkrunner, whether walking, running or volunteering.
🐕‍🦺 Short hand-held non-extendable leads only - no waist harnesses.
🐕 Keep your dog on a lead, by your side, within arms reach, and under control throughout the event.
🐕‍🦺 Please clean up after your dog.
