Bayhill Premier Cup Football - "The Bayhill Tournament" The "Bayhill" under 19 Football Tournament, is arguably South Africa and Africa's most prestigious youth football event.

37 years of youth development in 2026🏆⚽️ The Bayhill Premier Cup is now heading in to its 36th year of existence. Many professional footballers and officials have come through the ranks at the tournament to date. Young aspiring footballers from across the country and further abroad grow up dreaming of the opportunity of partaking in the tournament. The tournament gets going with the first play-off rounds in the month of October. These then continue in January of the next year and run all the way to the round-robin stage which is generally about a month before the tournament proper. The tournament proper is held over the Easter week running from the Wednesday afternoon before Easter until Easter Monday.

32 teams participate in the tournament proper, this includes the 14 Cape Town qualifiers from the play-offs, South African PSL and National First Division Clubs, and foreign clubs from across the globe. The tournament venue is Erica Park, Belhar. At any given time there can be up to 4 matches taking place at the venue. The area is easily accessible by car and taxi and is also quite close to the Unibel train station.

The 3rd of September marked 6 years since the passing of the Bayhill Premier Cup Founder Mr Roger Clayton.

How proud he would have been to see the continued growth of the Bayhill Premier Cup and the birth of a new set of supporters who will carry on the legacy of the event.

Roger had a dream of creating a platform that would springboard players into professional football as a means to get them away from social ills and poverty.

We can gladly say that we are living his dream ... long may his legacy continue.

This is a final reminder to Western Cape based teams that the applications for BPC 2027 Play-offs will close on the 5th of September 2026.

There is a rumour that if you apply late, your team will play in the later stages. This is not the case ... logically, late applications end up on the top of the pile.

Please treat this notification as URGENT for those who haven't applied. To the BPC Family, kindly nudge your fellow club owners and team managers as a reminder.

All interested teams are hereby reminded that applications for BAYHILL PREMIER CUP 2027 are currently open.

For teams within the Western Cape – an application must be submitted for participation in the Western Cape Play-offs, of which 12 teams will progress to the tournament proper in 2027.

All visiting teams from outside the Western Cape, including foreign teams from abroad, are encouraged to apply for participation in the tournament proper for 2027.

All applications must be submitted on a club letter head, in the form of a written motivation for inclusion in the BPC 2027 program. Highlight your clubs’ achievements and provide contact details for your club chairperson, secretary and u19 team manager. Further instructions will be given to successful applicants.

Applications open 5 August 2026 and close 5 September 2026.

We wish you all the best of luck with your preparations for an epic BPC 2027 edition.

And we're back!

Good afternoon BPC Faithful :-). After a few months of silence (NOT A BREAK) ... we are starting our planning for BPC 2027.

THANK YOU ALL for making the BPC 2026 Campaign a huge success. There is still so much to improve on and we are working hard behind the scenes to bring you an even bigger and better BPC 2027.

With that said, Applications for the BPC 2027 PLAY-OFFS are now open. WESTERN CAPE based teams are urged to apply.

Details below:

Please complete your application for an invitation to the Bayhill Premier Cup 2027 play-offs on your official club letter head as self-written motivation for participation.

Your letter must include reasons why your application should be considered, a brief history of your club and achievements, email and telephone contact details for your secretary, chairperson and u19 team manager.

Clearly indicate the area/suburb that your club is from and include the name of your Region and your LFA which associated to SAFA.

Note that your application does not mean automatic entry into the play-offs. You will be contacted with further instructions related to the application if you are successful.
