🌪️ T10 Thrills! Louis Trichardt League - Week 2 Chaos!
Hold onto your hats, folks! Week 2 of the Louis Trichardt T10 League delivered an absolute demolition job, a surprise upset, and a rain-interruption that has already shaken up the standings! This is your weekly dose of club cricket adrenaline!

The Highlights Reel: Hits, Wickets, and Records!
RECORD ALERT! The LEGENDS team didn't just win their game against MAEBANI—they rewrote the T10 rulebook! Scoring a mammoth 172 for 2 off their 10 overs, they cruised to a 96-run victory, putting up a total that will be tough to beat all season long!

LIMPOPO DAIRY showed they came to play, securing a dominant 9-wicket win over the SPARTANS! They chased down the target of 64 runs in just 5.3 overs—a perfect example of T10 lightning speed!

Unfortunately, the big clash between RCI and Limpopo Dairy was abandoned due to the weather. You can't win 'em all, especially against Mother Nature!

The dust has settled (briefly) on another epic round. With LEGENDS showing championship form and Limpopo Dairy surging up the table, things are getting spicy!

Who is going to stop the Legendary run next week? 🤔

🏆 TOP OF THE TABLE! LTT CC Dominates Giyani CC in Double-Header 🏏
What an incredible day of cricket for the Louis Trichardt Cricket Club as our 1st XI took on Giyani CC in two thrilling T20 matches on Sunday, 19 October 2025!

Thanks to a powerful collective effort, we secured two massive wins and finish TOP OF OUR POOL! We officially advance to the Semi-Finals on November 23rd!

Game 1: A Bowling Masterclass! (LTT WIN)
Our bowlers were absolutely ruthless, rolling Giyani CC for just 50 runs in their innings.

Best Bowler: Leon Olwage was the pick of the attack with an incredible spell, taking 3 Wickets for only 8 runs!

We chased the total quickly in just 3 overs to win by a huge margin of 9 wickets

Game 2: Setting the Standard! (LTT WIN)
We batted first and set an imposing target of 160 runs, with the Giyani chase crumbling under pressure.

Best Batsman: AC Geldenhuys was superb with the bat, top-scoring with 47 runs off 39 balls to set us up for the victory!

Best Bowler: Once again, the bowling unit stepped up bowling them out for only 42 runs, with Craig Viljoen leading the line with an efficient 3 Wickets for 9 runs.

🏏 Louis Trichardt CC vs University of Limpopo 1st XI: Weekend T20 Report!
This past weekend, we hosted the University of Limpopo 1st XI for a double-header in the 3rd Round of the Limpopo T20 League at the LTT Oval. We shared the spoils, bouncing back from a tough start to claim a massive victory in the second match!

Game 1: The Bowling Dominance
University's bowlers set the tone early.

Louis Trichardt CC won the toss and elected to bat first. However, good, disciplined bowling from the University side meant our innings faltered. We were bowled out for just 80 runs in the 16th over.
Top Batsmen: AJ Fourie (a brisk 20 off 12 balls) and Craig Viljoen (15 off 13 balls).
The University chased the target quickly, showing great intent to knock off the runs in the 11th over, winning by 8 wickets.
Wicket Takers: Gerhardus Fourie (1/10 in 2 overs) and Craig Viljoen (1/19 in 4 overs).

Game 2: The Magnificent Comeback! 🔥
LTT CC's batsmen delivered, backed by a clinical bowling performance.

University of Limpopo won the toss and opted to field. This time, the Louis Trichardt openers put their foot down, scoring freely to build a massive total!
A phenomenal batting saw both Craig Viljoen (69) and Gerhardus Fourie (53) score brilliant half-centuries. We finished the 20 overs on a commanding 187 runs.
We carried that momentum into the field and delivered a superb bowling display, taking crucial, early wickets.
Man-of-the-Match Performance: Craig Viljoen led the attack with a fantastic spell of 3 wickets for just 15 runs in 4 overs!
The rest of the bowlers chipped in to dismantle the University line-up: Gerhardus Fourie (2 wickets), Tshivhase Phindulo (2 wickets)
We restricted the University of Limpopo to only 100/9, securing an emphatic 87-run victory!

A great effort from the squad to fight back and take the points in the second game! Well played to University of Limpopo for a tough battle.
