Today we honour the life of a man who stood behind the All Structures Langebaan Ryder Cup from the very beginning — Ettienne Claasen.

Ettienne wasn’t just a supporter; he was a pillar of belief, strength and vision. He backed this tournament when it was only an idea, and because of his passion, dedication and heart, it grew into what it is today.

His legacy lives in every tee shot, every handshake, every moment shared on and off the course. Ettienne, you will always be remembered for what you’ve done for this tournament, for our players, and for the community around it.

Gone too soon, but never forgotten.

🍻 In all the years we’ve known Carl Gray, one of our legendary Steel Sw***ers, we’ve seen many things — long drives, loud laughs, and even longer nights… but never, ever, have we seen him stretch! 😳

Now suddenly he’s out there on the fairway doing yoga moves before tee-off. Carl, my friend… is it the age, the alcohol, or a strange combination of both? 🧐😂

Whatever it is, we’re just glad you’re still flexible enough to swing a club — and maybe even lift a cold one after the round! 🍺⛳️

Once again, the All Structures Showdown will donate funds to the IRI Rugby Academy — an incredible initiative that continues to change young lives through rugby.

Danie de Villiers, Director of Rugby at IRI, has been part of our tournament for the past 4 years, and the work he does in the community speaks for itself. His passion for developing talent and building strong, disciplined young athletes is something we all admire.
