Flavor Express - full experience at Veldskoen Rally - September 25–27.

You roll 1,000km from Cape Town. Dust in your beard. Chrome catching the last light. That's when Flavor Express shows up with the goods: Samoosa. Spring rolls. Chicken strips. Curry & rice. Bunny chow. Breyani. Chicken wraps.

This isn't fine dining. This is fuel that tastes right after you've twisted the throttle for a thousand kilometers.

Cape Town to Klerksdorp Dam is more or less 1,000 kilometers.

That's N1 north. Paarl. Worcester. Beaufort West. Bloemfontein. Then into the North West, long, flat, open country. Twelve to fourteen hours of twisted throttle and wind in your face. Karoo silence. Then the dam comes into view.

**Here's where you stop:**

**Worcester:** , good for a longer break, coffee, stretch your legs.

**Beaufort West (±420km in):** This is the power-through point. sits just off the N1 (1km from town, Johannesburg side). Restaurant + bar + pool. Sleep here or fuel up and push on. Also check out 4 Sheep Restaurant & Deli in town for a quicker bite.

If you want luxury in Beaufort West, or are solid choices.

**Bloemfontein (±750km in):** is 35km south on the N1, upmarket, award-winning, good halfway stop. Or grab a bed closer to town: (right next to N1, Langenhoven) or Milly Guest House.

That ride is part of the story. Your boots hit gravel on Thursday morning 24 September and the dam's waiting.

Fuel stops planned. Rest points marked. The journey's not the problem, it's the point.

September 24–27. Chrome and kilometers. Braai smoke when you land.

Riding from West Rand to Klerksdorp Dam for September? Here's the route that doesn't feel like a grind.

Start at Fochville Coffee & Bistro . Hot coffee, breakfast if you're running late. Roll through to Handelshuis N12 Kraalkop on the N12 between Fochville and Potchefstroom. Low-key spot, strong coffee, minimal fuss. Take the Carletonville route and hit Gees Eats if you want something heavier. Between Carletonville and Potch, Ho**er Pub & Coffee Shop . Real beer, good food, riders know it.

Potchefstroom's your fuel-up point: Food Studio and Cuppa Caffe . Both solid. Both worth the stop.

Then straight through to Klerksdorp. 's Pizza Klerksdorp if you're hitting it before the rally. And Funky Monkey Pub and Grill: they're running the bar for the whole weekend, so you might as well scope the setup before Thursday night.

Beats highway monotony. Beats riding hungry. Beats showing up wrecked.
