2026 SASCE PROVINCIAL FINALS
Wednesday, 27 May 2026
The sound of young voices, powerful harmonies and South African pride will fill the Mittah Seperepere Convention Centre as the 2026 South African Schools Choral Eisteddfod (SASCE) Provincial Finals take centre stage from 28–29 May 2026.
More than 4 350 learners from 32 primary schools and 28 high schools across the province will gather in Kimberley for a spectacular celebration of music, culture and youth excellence.
Audiences can expect electrifying performances, moving traditional songs and stirring choral arrangements that showcase the extraordinary talent and spirit of the Northern Cape young people.
This year’s Provincial Finals carry even deeper meaning as learners use music to commemorate 50 years since the June 1976 Youth Uprising; honouring the bravery, resilience and voices of the youth who helped shape the nation’s history.
Through every note and every performance, the stage will become a tribute to the past, a celebration of the present and a powerful reminder of the role young people continue to play in building South Africa’s future.
The MEC for Education, Mr. Abraham Vosloo will officiate the opening of the 2026 SASCE Provincial Finals on Thursday, 28 May 2026 at 08:30. Members of the media and the general public are invited to witness this music spectacular at the Mittah Seperepere Convention Centre in Kimberley.
