🚨 EMO NIGHT PRETORIA ON 7 MARCH CANCELLED 🚨

It’s with a very heavy heart that we have decided to cancel Emo Night Pretoria’s Wet Hot Emo Summer on 7 March.

We are in a moment of life-threatening illness in our family, and right now, we need to focus on being present with our loved ones. We know many of you were looking forward to this event, especially after the fun we had in Cape Town and Joburg this past weekend, but we truly appreciate your understanding and support during this difficult time.

If you know Cass () and me (), you know that we never make decisions like this lightly. And for those of you in the know about what’s happening in our family, we really love and appreciate your messages of kindness and hope so much.

But we aren’t going anywhere forever, we just need a teeny break for now! We’ll be back soon to announce something massive that’s been in the works for a while — iykyk it’s going to be a big one 🖤

Looking out for each other is actually very fu***ng cool, if you think about it.

If you’re an event organiser or regular in the scene, this is a quick ‘n easy way for us to know who needs help when. If you need help, this could make getting support from event organisers, safety teams, and other attendees easier!

We’ll be popping these posters up in the bathrooms of some of our favourite venues. There’s a free download link in our bio if you’d like to grab this poster and put it up somewhere too!

Kudos to our Emo Night safety volunteers for suggesting this to us! Because we’re literally nothing without our community 🖤

We’re a little speechless that we get to welcome to the Emo Night Joburg stage on Saturday, 28 February! 🥹

Angel is an alternative drag performance artist known for her striking visual worlds, experimental looks, and emotionally charged performances that reject a polished pop image and favour raw emotion, horror and statement 🕷️🩸 She’s inspired by goth, punk, and fe**sh subcultures but her expression knows no bounds.
