Beyond the stage, the panels and the conversations, ARMC 2026 was really about the connections. Bringing artists, music executives and the best in music business together, building bridges and creating opportunities across Africa and beyond. We welcomed delegates from our focus countries Uganda and Germany as well as different parts of the continent. ARMC 2026 featured carefully selected international music executives and industry pros supported by our partners including French Institute of South Africa, Lesotho and Malawi , and the Goethe Institute. A huge thank you goes out to our partners, whose support made it possible to welcome six international delegates to this year’s conference. We were honoured to have Meike Nolte (Meike Nolte), Jay Ahern, Yamkela Kasana, Oliver Neate and Eda Iskeceli join us, bringing their international perspectives, experiences and insights to the room.

With these conversations, opportunities were created for meaningful exchange and strengthened our commitment to building bridges between Africa and the world through music. We look forward to creating more connections to the global stage in 2027

Authenticity is at the centre of every artist’s successful journey, and it looks different for every creative.

In a keynote presented by SAMRO, Karabo Senna and SHINING STAR ✨ unpacked her musical journey

from trying to find where she fit in as a university student, to finding her voice and putting herself out there as an artist.

Today, she continues to evolve beyond music, embracing entrepreneurship, creative wellness and initiatives like Soft Girl Sundaze.

This was one of the ways ARMC spotlights and celebrates the voices shaping Africa’s music industry and creating a lasting impact.

We look forward to amplifying more voices in 2027 ✨

On 15 August 2026, Cape Town-based independent electronic music producer and represented South Africa at Rave The Planet - one of Berlin’s biggest electronic music parade 🇿🇦🇩🇪🔊

As we continue our efforts to take Africa to the world, this marked another important step in bringing the sounds, talent and diversity of South Africa’s electronic music scene to global audiences.

A huge thank you to our partners and for helping make this possible.

Building on our collaboration with RiSA (RISA) at ARMC 2026, we’re taking our partnership forward with the Masterclass Programme taking place tomorrow, 13 August 2026, at the Olympia Stadium VIP Lounge.

The masterclass brings together artists, creatives and music professionals for a day of learning, connection and industry exchange.

Join speakers Thuso Mojatau (Thuso Wa Sibini) (ARMC), Lwandile Mtolo (Lwandile Mtolo ) (SAMPRA ), artist MIKHALÉ JONES and Nelo Mathenjwa (Paradise Worldwide Africa), sharing insights on strategic relations, marketing communications, artistic development and global label management.

Other topics will explore Africa’s Creative Economy, Women in Music, the future of African music, Afrofuturism and AI, and funding in the music sector. Don’t miss out!

After receiving more than 300 applications from across Southern Africa, we’re thrilled to officially unveil the five recipients of the ARMC Sound Bridges: SA–Germany Music Mentorship & Project Fund in collaboration with the German Embassy In Pretoria ( German Embassy Pretoria ) and Paradise Worldwide (Paradise Worldwide ) to offer 5 artists the opportunity to be mentored by some of the top music professionals and support their next release.

Selected through a highly competitive process, these five outstanding artists represent the next generation of African music talent. Meet the recipients:

✨ Mary Jane (Mandisa Mary-Jane Mtembu) is an emerging singer-songwriter with a polished blend of R&B, Afrobeat and Pop.

✨ Thole Lesilo (THOLE LE'SILO )is a recording artist and songwriter bringing authentic storytelling to contemporary Afro Pop.

✨ Lethumusa (Lethumusa )
from Eswatini, is a DJ, producer and sound engineer recognised for blending electronic and African sounds, with experience touring across Southern Africa and producing for leading artists.

✨ Soki Saka () is a Pretoria-based singer, songwriter and pianist celebrated for her soulful vocals, multilingual songwriting, and distinctive fusion of Afro Soul, Afro Pop and contemporary African music.

✨ Kurt April (Kurt April )is a Cape Town-based DJ and producer known for his high-energy electronic sound, standout festival performances, and a growing catalogue of original music.

The programme will provide each recipient with one-on-one mentorship from internationally renowned music industry professionals, alongside project funding to develop a release-ready body of work and accelerate their careers.
