Appreciation Saturday
I am proud to bow my head every day and say Thank You God for the blessings that you will be sending my way. I receive. I want to share a small story about my journey in the entertainment industry, the purpose of sharing this is to motivate someone to many moons ago when I use to play at Club Bel-Air I was a youngster dreaming, I remember having a rough patch in my career earlier, I always wanted to do things differently because I wanted to stand out and at the time me being different was probably not very popular amongst many. However, I set a goal of what I believe in and felt if I was going to fail at least I will fail at something that I was authentic in. I cannot forget how badly I was treated by fellow entertainers, some of them act differently today but I use to look past that as I trusted God and his promise to me. I know I never fit in but that never deterred me from giving up. God said to me start finding people that do not know who you are so they can just judge you on your talent and I did just that, my results were astounding. I remember moving into the Jhb scene and never got to play at big Clubs I got myself a residency at Count Down which was not that popular at the time, I then got to a stage in my life where I was fed up of playing music from international artist and I constantly asked myself when are you going to start producing music. I saved money bought myself a Roland workstation keyboard where I taught myself how to make beats and start producing music. As the years went by I was mostly booked at gigs where I was just filling up the dj list, I never use to ever think that I want to be a headline DJ just one that falls in place but I wanted growth and with growth, it meant if you want to be a headliner you need to confess it and add it to your want-to-do list, See if you want something you have to think about it constantly and ask yourself what do I need to do to get to that stage. It became something that I confessed daily and that was to work on my profile, Fast forward to 2021, I am currently getting booked at gigs around the country where the event organizers regard me as a headliner and that just makes me feel like I have reached the goal that I wanted and it is time to set new goals. My page is sitting on 196k followers and having more followers allows me to do God's work more often and yes it does make it easier as more people get made aware of the fundraisers we do. From 2020 We have built 3 homes Fed just over 100 000 people around South Africa, Helped 4 -5 Mums every month, Assisted in just over 20 funerals around the country, Sent over 67000 loaves of bread to KZN during the looting, We do not have to highlight all the others as you know them. We have successfully Fed over 500 families on Christmas Day for the past 7 years and will be doing it again this year. We have built a community known as The JazzNation people who care to make a difference using this platform & making families' lives easier. The JazzNation has been growing as people have met new friends via the Live Streams. I know the more followers the page gets the more people I can assist around the country. My Mission is to aim for 500k followers before 2023 and then 1 million before 2024. Now I know some might say is he crazy, lols, I trust God and I trust the path he has set for me. I am confessing it, in 2 weeks from now this page will reach 200k followers if not sooner. If you want to help me all you need to do is invite your friends to follow my page or you can follow my page. If you are following me just like the post so that I know you see me. I hope you got the message to believe in what you do. Confession is possession, What you confess you shall Possess. If you got to this part of my long story thank you for reading it and helping me make a difference.
