Since its launched in 2014, the CHILLAS BY THE RIVER EVENT has si

nce grown rapidly attracting people from other parts of the country other than Limpopo (please see the GAE LAPENG EASTER 2017 video). Charity begins at home, this event specifically employs the goods and services of local businesses, artists and invites local entrepreneurs to sell their good and services to over 4500 people that show up at the event. The main aim of this event is to promote tourism and encourage people to travel while having fun with the GLC Family. This event focuses on identifying the different travel destinations in South Africa and encouraging people to travel through offering great travelling package deals(See the GLCWA17 photo Album). There is still so much more in store for Gae Lapeng Concepts and for you. Stay with us!!!!

To Our Beloved GLC Family & Partners
For over a decade, G*e Lapeng Concepts (GLC) has been more than an event - it has been a celebration of homecoming, culture, music, and togetherness. Every year, we’ve gathered in Ga-Mabintane to laugh, dance, share meals, and make memories that last a lifetime.

It is because of you - our supporters, our community, and our partners - that this journey has been possible. Your energy, love, and loyalty have been the heartbeat of every festival.

It is with a heavy heart that we share this: the 26 December 2025 GLC event will not take place.

This decision was made with you in mind. We reflected deeply on the challenges we face and realized that hosting this year without the full resources and structure we need would not give you the experience you deserve. And you deserve nothing less than the best.

But this pause is a promise, not an end.

We are using this time to strengthen the brand, rebuild operations, and craft a festival that truly honors our roots and community. Our 2026 edition will be bigger, brighter, and unforgettable - a festival that provides value not just for attendees but for partners and sponsors who join us in this journey.

Thank you for your understanding, support, and belief in the GLC vision. You are the reason we exist and we promise the wait will be worth it.
