Tour de Franschhoek The Tour de Franschhoek offers participants and supporters a taste of the Tour de France, hosted in the picturesque hills of Franschhoek.

This is a relaxed, enjoyable cycling tour grouping riders into pelotons based on ability, to ensure the most enjoyable experience for all levels of capability. This will allow the more “serious” amateur to stretch their legs and get in some competitive training, while the more “relaxed” amateur can really take it all in and enjoy a weekend of riding. The tour takes place on open public roads, and

riders must be mindful of this during the tour. However, the event has been carefully planned in such a way that each group will be supported by a lead rider and support vehicles will ensure the safety of the riders. For the more competitive teams there are timed king of the mountain sections determining the daily and overall leader who will receive the leader jersey.
