Fish Hoek Friends of Music Concerts in the Fich Hoek Civic Centre

The Fish Hoek Friends of Music aims to support music in the local community and ensures that artists have venues to perform and are remunerated. As a consequence we provide top class concerts in the Fish Hoek Civic Centre for local inhabitants that would otherwise always have to travel up the line to the major Cape Town concert venues. Our surplus funds are donated to the Fish Hoek Music Bursary Trust that awards bursaries for tertiary study for young musicians residing in the area.

The St Francis of Assisi Music Society present an afternoon of Timeless Jazz on Saturday 13 June featuring the Jason Marshall Trio. Marshall is an FMR Award winner for jazz piano, and joining him will be Joshua Nemaire on bass and Tefo Mahola on drums. Ahead of youth day these three young artists will play a programme ranging from well-known jazz standards to new Cape Jazz compositions with something for everyone to enjoy. The concert will be followed by a glass of complimentary wine, juice, tea & Coffee with snacks and a chance to meet the artists. Tickets at the door just R150. Something to look forward to! Fish Hoek Friends of Music is pleased to present a Piano Extravaganza in the Fish Hoek Civic Centre on Friday 15 May 2026 at 7pm. The concert features teachers and students from the Piano Division in the Conservatoire at the University of Stellenbosch. The students are trained by Nina Schumann, Pieter Grobler and Sue Paterson-Jones. This will be a wide-ranging programme, which features the wonderful work being done at this fine institution. Surely a concert not to be missed.
