Ficksburg parkrun parkrun organise free, weekly, timed 5km run/walks. Ficksburg parkrun event takes place at Ficksburg Golf & Country Club, 1 Hill Street, Ficksburg.

parkrun starts at 8h00 every Saturday.

23/5/2026 Parkrun started with a light drizzle, but 19 participants completed the 5km parkrun. A first timer and visitors were welcomed as well as 2 birthdays 🎂 were celebrated. Milestone celebrated. Join the Ficksburg parkrun next Saturday at the Ficksburg Golfclub. Arrive before 7h55.

16/05/2026 After 2 weekends of cancelled parkrun due to rain, today's parkrun took place even though the winter chill was felt by all. Summed up in the words of the Run Director Duncan:" Thanks, team, for braving the chill to volunteer. 16 entrants, which was not bad for a chilly day."

9/05/2026 Ficksburg parkrun cancelled. Hi all. Pre run done. Route will be very wet and there are a number of slippery spots that could be dangerous. Inclined towards caution ⚠️ and suggest we wait until next week. CANCELLED.

Good day, park runners. Due to the rain 🌧 we have had, the course for tomorrow's parkrun is very slippery and unfortunately we will have to cancel tomorrow's event.

11/04/2026 Good morning to all Parkrunners. Thank you for a great turnout of 40 on Saturday for the inaugural official Parkrun on the new route. A huge thanks to Elsjé, Melissa and Callie for all the work they put in to get the new route layed out and approved by Parkrun. Looking forward to seeing more people on the run next week.
