As the curtain closes on another incredible season of Shall We Dance Durban at the The Playhouse Company, there is one very important group of people we simply cannot forget to thank — YOU, our wonderful patrons! 💃🕺

For 32 years, audiences have walked through the doors, taken their seats and supported this very special production. Year after year, you continue to show us that there is still something truly magical about live theatre and the joy of dance.

To everyone who bought a ticket, brought family and friends, shared our posts, entered our competitions, told others about the show, applauded our dancers and cheered just that little bit louder — THANK YOU! ❤️

There is nothing quite like standing on that stage and feeling the warmth, excitement and energy coming from a full theatre. You are the reason we perform. You are the final and most important part of every performance.

Your continued support allows Shall We Dance to keep doing what it loves most — bringing dancers of different ages and styles together on one stage and showcasing the incredible talent and passion within our dancing community.

What a journey… and what a show! 💃🕺❤️

To every single member of our Shall We Dance 2026 cast — THANK YOU for making this another truly unforgettable and successful production.

From the countless hours of rehearsals, the aching feet, costume changes and backstage chaos, to the nerves, excitement, laughter and absolute magic that happened when those curtains opened — you gave it everything.

Every dancer, every style, and every performance played a part in creating the spectacular show our audiences experienced. The energy, commitment, professionalism and camaraderie throughout this production have been incredible.

Shall We Dance is so much more than a show. It is a family of people brought together by a shared love of dance — and for a few very special days each year, we get to create something magical together. ✨

🌍✨ OUR STARS EXPERIENCE THE MAGIC OF AFRICA! ✨🌍
Today we swapped the dance floor for a little African adventure! 🇿🇦
Our Shall We Dance Durban 2026 international stars, Egor Kondratenko & Mie Lincke Funch from Denmark, were treated to a very special visit to Phezulu Safari Park, where they had the opportunity to experience some of the colour, culture and spirit of South Africa. ❤️

🌍 African culture and traditions
☀️ And, of course, some beautiful KwaZulu-Natal hospitality!
With opening night almost here, it was wonderful to give Egor and Mie a little time away from rehearsals and the theatre to experience another side of the country that has welcomed them so warmly.
