Let me first congrstulste our boys for getting Bronze in th 2017 SAPS National Championship. They played against Western Cape & they won by 6 goals to 2. For the past four years KZN has qualified been for Semi Finals without fail. One day is one day. Well done to technical staff and players.

Well done to Free State for being 2017 Champions & they are Gold medalist. They played against they won by 3-2. Good football display by both teams. SAPS & SAPSFA is proud of all the players & their technical staff.

Congratulation is in order for Mpumalanga for reaching the finals for the first time since the inception of SAPSFS in 1996(21yrs)

Also congrstulation is in order for SAPSFA for succesfully staging 2017 SAPSFA National Championship.

Let me take this opportunity and congratulate our beautiful KZN women team for coming back with Gold in the SAPS National Championship.

The beat EC by 4-0. Welll done ladies.

History was made whereby the first female coach won the tournament. Well done Thuli and yo technical team. U worked hard for it. Hard work pays!!!!!

KZN team participated in th 20th SAPS National Soccer Championship that took place in Gauteng, Soweto - Nike Centre. KZN started th championship in position 3 as we were bronze medalists in 2015. The games were played as follows: KZN 3-2 EC; NW 0-0 KZN; KZN 1-3 FS; NC 2- 5 KZN.

KZN progressed to Semi Finals & Played against Limpopo. Limpopo 1-0 KZN. Limpopo scored during the referees optional time & it was heart breaking. On Friday @ 09:00 it was KZN vs EC for 3rd & 4th place. KZN won by 4-2 and KZN took position 3 once again. Congratulation to Limpopo for being 2016 Champions, well done Big John & yo boys

Awards: Const S Damane received Top Goal Scorer Award, 5 goals.
Players Selected to th National Team: SP Mncube(Nongoma); SP Mhlongo(Umlazi); PB Manyoni(Wembezi); SZ Zakwe(Estcourt); SM Buthelezi(Escourt); S Damane(Verulam). Congratulation to the abovementioned players. Selected players are reminded tht they still have to work hard in order to make a final team.

The championship was very competitive and many provinces brought young players & who in th near future will contribute positively to our SAPS National Team.

SAPSFA KZN is mourning passing away of Women Team player, Const. LP Ngcobo aka Khapela. She rested on 2016-08-18. May her soul rest in peace.
