KZN SPORT AND RECREATION STAKEHOLDER WORKSHOP | DAY 1

Today, the KwaZulu-Natal Sports Confederation (KZNSC), in association with the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport, Arts and Culture and the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Education, successfully concluded Day One of the Sport and Recreation Stakeholder Workshop at Coastlands Hotel, Durban.
The workshop brought together key stakeholders from across the sport and recreation sector, fostering meaningful engagement, collaboration and the exchange of ideas.
In attendance were Provincial Sports Federations, District Sports Confederations, Recreation Bodies, School Sports Structures, Institutions of Higher Learning, Department of Education Labour Unions, and esteemed sports legends who continue to inspire and contribute to the growth and development of sport in KwaZulu-Natal.
The discussions focused on the following key areas:

πΉ Transformation matters in sport and recreation
πΉ School sport development and coordination
πΉ High-performance programmes and athlete development
πΉ Safeguarding in sport
πΉ International tours and participation
πΉ New developments and emerging matters within the sport and recreation sector
The workshop serves as an important platform for strengthening collaboration, addressing challenges and identifying opportunities to advance sport and recreation development across KwaZulu-Natal.

Tomorrow, the workshop continues as stakeholders work towards concluding the discussions and ensuring the immediate implementation of the resolutions reached.
