Fairtree Atterbury Theatre is conveniently situated inside Lynnwood Bridge Centre, which allows theatre goers easy access as well as safe parking. The theatre conveniently serves alcoholic as well as non-alcoholic beverages in the theatre foyer, which is also allowed to be enjoyed inside the theatre while the show is underway. Pre- or post-show drinks or dinner are on the theatre’s doorstep. Visitors will be spoilt for choice with the many upmarket restaurants and cafes at Lynnwood Bridge Centre.
Shows at the theatre cover a spectrum of performance art forms - dance productions, comedy, album launches, tribute shows, ballet, plays and dramas, musicals and physical theatre, to name but a few. You can have a look at their website – www.atterburytheatre.co.za – for upcoming shows and book tickets via the website, or directly at www.seatme.co.za.
For my husband's birthday, we were spoiled with tickets for the musical masterpiece – Blues by die Kruispad. I am still not sure how they managed to fit so much talent on one stage. The multitalented artists who made classic Blues come to life were: Peter Auret on drums, Werner Spies on bass, Marcel Dednam on keys and vocals, Nelmarie Rabie – vocals, Christiaan Rabie on guitar(s) (all of them!) and vocals and Deryn Dednam on saxophone and vocals.
