Please register for FREE online at www.parkrun.co.za/register (Home run: Mitchells Plain). Print your barcode and bring it with you to parkrun. Mitchells Plain parkrun is family and dog friendly! (1 dog per person on a leash at all times please.) parkrun is open to everyone, from beginners to Olympians, from walkers to runners. You set your own pace and are timed for your own benefit. 🟢 Why your parkrun barcode really matters 🟢
Your parkrun barcode is more than just a way to get a result — it’s an essential part of keeping parkrun safe for everyone.

📌 No barcode = no result
This is a global parkrun policy. If you don’t bring your barcode, we unfortunately can’t record your time or position. So please remember it every week — printed, on your phone, or on a wristband. At our parkrun, you can request us to print it for you if you don't have access to a printer, please speak to the Run Director and we will gladly assist.

🚨 Your barcode also holds vital ICE information
Your barcode links to your In Case of Emergency (ICE) details. If something were to happen during a parkrun, this information helps volunteers and medical professionals contact the right person quickly. That can make a huge difference when it matters most.

⌚ Prefer a more durable option?
parkrun bands are available to purchase online at www.parkrunid.co.za — a convenient, waterproof way to make sure you always have your barcode with you.

Mitchells Plain parkrun Event 385 had 111 parkrun finishers and they were hosted by 14 wonderful Volunteers 😊 Winter is still trying to be relevant with the Equinox fast approaching to mark the official change of season. This is also Cape Town and its moody weather 😅
