The Need and Vision for Lanizo Kids Den ECD
Lanizo Kids Den ECD was started with a clear purpose: to provide township children with the strong educational foundation that many people believe only suburban centres can offer.
Our goal is to remain one of the lowest fee-paying centres in the community while still maintaining high standards of care and education. In order to do this, we are seeking sponsorship and support from individuals, organisations, and businesses who believe in investing in the future of our children.
Our vision is:
1. Quality Early Childhood Education
To provide township children with the best possible foundation through a strong curriculum, mind-stimulating learning activities, and an educational program that prepares them well for school.
2. Support for Working Parents
Many parents work long hours and often worry about their children when schools close early. Lanizo Kids Den aims to relieve that stress by providing a safe and caring environment where children are looked after until their parents return from work.
3. Employment of Well-Trained Staff
We aim to employ well-trained educators who are grounded in strong Christian values, who treat every child with love, respect, and fairness.
4. A Strong Nutritional Program
Children at the centre receive breakfast, lunch, and two healthy snacks daily to support their growth, learning, and well-being.
5. Transport for Children
Our long-term goal is to provide transport to and from the centre free of charge, or at a very small affordable fee, so that more children in the community can access quality early childhood education.
I grew up in the township and understand the realities many families face. Today many parents struggle with unemployment, and many households depend on the child support grant to provide for their children’s basic needs, including food.
Lanizo Kids Den ECD aims to be an open door for the community — a place where children receive quality care, strong educational foundations, and a nurturing environment at a cost their parents can afford.
“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6
