Mama City Improv Fest is an International Improv Festival in Cape Town, South Africa. From 11-15 March 2020, the festival hosts a series of workshops,performances and jams with instructors and performers coming from all over!!! Mama City Improv Fest’s aim is to create a platform to foster and celebrate Cape Town and South Africa’s growing improv scene. Local performers can collaborate, perform, discuss, create, and showcase the funny that South Africa has to offer. Mama City also exists to welcome our improv friends from all over the world to our outrageously fabulous city, and produce quality improv shows that keep audiences coming back again and again to support live comedy. Whether you are young, old, new to improv or an old-hat actor, a software engineer, carpenter, unemployed or a trust-fund baby - improv is your right, and you are welcome here! For those who just like to watch, our line-up of nightly jams and shows will satisfy your improv cravings!
