Repent

"One major problem we face is that we often assume people have repented simply because they're no longer 'in the world' and are now attending church services. However, attending church doesn't necessarily mean someone has truly repented, especially if we knew them as evildoers in the past. For some, it might just be a change of location for their operations. Others may still exhibit the same sinful nature they had before, even after a decade in the church. True repentance requires a complete turn away from sin, not just attending church services or being close to the pastor. You can be physically close to the pastor yet spiritually far from God."

2 Peter 3:9: "The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance"
