Huge congratulations to Phumi Morare and the team behind Why The Cattle Wait on their SAFTA nomination.

We’re genuinely thrilled to see the film nominated for Best Short Film at the South African Film and Television Awards.
Why The Cattle Wait screened at FAME Shorts Film Festival, and there’s something very special about watching a film move from our festival platform to national recognition. That’s exactly why we do what we do.

Phumi, we are incredibly proud of you. Your work is thoughtful, powerful, and unapologetically African — and it deserves every bit of this spotlight.

Here’s to strong stories, brave filmmakers, and the continued rise of African cinema. 🥇💫
