Big special guest, and friend of Mørk will be swinging some garage and UK flavours for our second outing on the 26th of April.
Barista, the solo project of Ofek Liepaz, is a versatile artist rooted in the music scene of Cape Town. His ever-growing fascination with electronic music and club culture has resulted in a sound that is in constant evolution, with a musical philosophy shaped by the early days of dance music.
Not confined to a particular genre, Barista’s sets are rather constructed based on high energy and groove, featuring a dynamic blend of four-to-the-floor rhythms interwoven with broken beats. Within this framework, you’ll hear selections characterised by driving basslines, intricate percussion, and carefully chosen vocals.
His eclectic sound has been showcased at some of the city’s most beloved club nights and festivals, and he has also co-founded local event brands PRISM, Kar Park, and Pop Up, all of which are a testament to his multi-faceted approach to electronic music.
