If you listen close on a windy day, you might still be able to hear the sounds of the dub from the old botanists lab rushing by your ears. The bass resonating for a perfect moment; the sounds of laughter, conversation; joyful union in a memory, kept alive by the wind before the sounds of the rest world replace it - all busied and hurried.

If you close your eyes, turn your head to the east and if you do it just right; not too hard and not too low - you’ll hear the soft chimes of the time machine and poetry dancing on the wind. The flapping of old. Gently the memories beckons. For just a second.

The embers of the fire start to smoulder, slowly to ignite. ❤️‍🔥

The fire yearns to be free.

Last years welcoming ceremony was an rhythmic pulse, intimately shared to the beat of a drum and words to settle the tones of the outside world - safely, warmly, vibrantly. The fire that erupted over that weekend was fed in those first few moments.

But that fire didn’t burn out. The coals went to ground. If you pause, you can just faintly hear the hiss of steam as the coals find new purchase and the fire starts again.
