What an incredible experience at the EXSA GED Amazing Race!
Team DK Design and Team ConCept G Global put their problem-solving, communication, strategy and teamwork skills to the test, competing in a series of physical and mental challenges alongside fellow industry professionals.
We're proud to share that we finished in 3rd Place 🥉🎉
Beyond the competition, one of the highlights of the day was connecting with the talented and enthusiastic future event professionals from TUT, as well as engaging with fellow industry players through a range of team-building activities.
The event was a fantastic reminder that success isn't just about crossing the finish line—it's about collaboration, resilience, adaptability and having all the fun along the way. Thank you DK Design, we did all the things. 😄
A huge thank you to EXSA for hosting such a well-organised and engaging event and congratulations to all the winners and the teams that participated.

Stepping out of the build environment and into the classroom, being invited as guest lecturers at the TUT: Tshwane University of Technology’s design department was certainly a privilege and an opportunity to engage with the next generation of designers who will shape the future of exhibitions, retail and experiential spaces.
Bridging the gap between concept and construction is where the real learning happens. We get to share our practical insight, real-world challenges, the business environment: what to expect and how to prepare for 'Startle', as well as the realities behind creating and delivering at scale.
It our responsibility.
Because great design doesn’t end on paper. It lives, breathes and performs in real time, in the real world.
And we look forward to the conversations, the questions and perhaps even being challenged ourselves.

Today there are those who are showing up and working and in the context of the exhibition and event industry, this is especially true. We salute you all. Across industry. Our builds continue, our trucks roll in, our structures rise, our cables run, the magic all comes together and our teams push through tight timelines and sometimes through nights and long shifts to bring our creative designs, spaces and environments to life.
To the crews on-site, the builders, the riggers, the electricians, the logistics teams, and the project leads: your work often happens behind the scenes, but it’s exactly what makes everything possible. This Workers’ Day, we recognise the people who don’t stop when the calendar says they should — the ones who keep the industry moving, one stand, one event, one exhibition at a time.
