Vivox Voices is a Cape Town-based chamber choir, founded by conductor Maria Viviers, in 2018. They consist of young professional adults with most members having a choral background in world-renowned choirs. Vivox members are choral enthusiasts who seek to share South African and international choral music to inspire others. Vivox Voices enjoys collaboration with other ensembles. They’ve had concerts with the Winelands Philharmonic Orchestra, Vox Chamber Choir, Horizon Project choir, Akustika and they were the in-house choir for “Afrikaans is 100 Jaar Groot” in 2025.

Maria Viviers is one of South Africa's vibrant up-and-coming young conductors. She is passionate about creating a community and connecting people within her choral ensembles.
Maria founded Vivox Voices, a young working adult chamber choir in 2018 and is the conductor for Durbanville High School's choir for her 10th year this year!
Maria is a teacher by day and a conductor by night. She is a guidance counsellor and Afrikaans teacher at Durbanville High School.
Maria Viviers is one of South Africa's vibrant up-and-coming young conductors. She is passionate about creating a community and connecting people within her choral ensembles.
