North Staffs Fun Palace A two-month celebration of arts, culture, science & community, created by & for local people. Launching on Sat 3rd October (Brought to you by )

Everyone an artist, everyone a scientist! During October & November North Staffordshire will be celebrating the coming together of arts & science with the first ever North Staffs Fun Palace. An annual, free, nationwide celebration of arts & culture, driven by localism, innovation & engagement. The Palace will launch on Saturday 3rd October at the BCB Festival at Spode, in Stoke - in celebration of the pottery industry - where arts & science truly work hand in hand! Lots of other events will take place during October & November, culminating in one big finale day of fun.

'Fun Palaces' is an annual, free, nationwide celebration of arts & culture, driven by localism, innovation & engagement. Celebrating the life & work of Joan Littlewood, and in particular the vision she shared with Cedric Price for the creation of a ‘Fun Palace’ – a space where arts & sciences meet – Fun Palaces sees Makers across the country create their own ‘pop-up’ version of a Fun Palace. Fun Palaces is an ongoing campaign that says arts and sciences, all culture, is a crucial part of community life.
