Ramsgate Festival of Sound celebrates the large sounds of a coastal town. Live, experimental music, sound installations, busking trails, talks, films, and workshops. The Ramsgate Festival of Sound is run by a small, woman-led team and is supported by a multitude of volunteers, groups, and organisations in the local area. We thank you all, and couldn't do it without every single one of you.

We have permission to put it there and have licensed this area from TDC (plus, these mesh banners are expensive on a tight budget)

You can return it to Winterstoke Gardens - no questions asked - we’d just quite like it back! 😂

Next Sunday (13th) at Ramsgate Festival of Sound we will be slowing down with some communal singing with Sabina Désir & Jessica Lauren, movies at Ramsgate Community Cinema, sauntering round the Sonic Trail and finishing up the Festival with the upbeat beats of LOOK MUM NO COMPUTER at The Granville Theatre 💕

Next Saturday our Festival will be in full swing with a whole day filled with free events, music, workshops and all the (un)usual Ramsgate extravagance 🪩

🌦️ (weather dependent) Winterstoke🌦️
A day of free, family fun in the September sun 🤞 heads to Winterstoke with workshops, food, and performances for everyone to enjoy! In the evening enjoy cabaret royalty Screaming Alley and barge-punk pirates Rotten Boroughs.

Keep an eye out for updates as we may move to an indoor location if there is rain.

🎸 Busk Until Dusk
The chaotic chorus of Festival, where the town's pubs & independent venues come together as one for an afternoon of live music from 12 noon until 6pm, and all for free.

More than twenty bands and solo artists will perform across some of the town's best-loved venues blasting an eclectic soundtrack of foot-stomping punk, blistering percussion, cinematic indie folk and spellbinding roots music.

🔉 Sonic Trail
Eplore Sound/Art installations at unusual locations across Ramsgate, from The Crypt at St George's to the Italiante Glasshouse. The 12 artists are responding to the theme of "Everyday Histories" as inspired by the Heritage Open Days theme. Open 12-4pm across the weekend.
