After considerable reflection and consultation with leaders across the mountain biking community, it is with much disappointment that we announce that the NEMBA Women's Summit will be postponed until August 2021. Our decision was borne out of our prioritizing safety, financial conservation, and community investment first. We have put some terrific work into making this event an incredible opportunity to connect with other women riders, explore breath-taking trails, and stretch your MTB skills on and off the bike. We know that NEMBA Women's Summit 2021 is going to be even sweeter after our communities have had a chance to rebuild all that has been challenged through COVID-19.
We wish you all a safe, healthy, and productive season and can't wait to launch anew in 2021.

Dear Mountain Bikers,
In keeping with NEMBA guidelines, the NEMBA Women’s Summit 2020 are delaying registration launch until things settle a bit with COVID-19. We are all super excited about this event and are committed to supporting a community that is mindful of our shared space - on and off the trail.

We expect this Summit will be even more enjoyable, given that our usual spring biking fun has been impacted by the need to avoid group activities. Please stay tuned to notices about our registration launch by subscribing (below) to receive a direct email, as soon as we go live.

Take the NEMBA Women's 2020 Summit Challenge! Calling all Phenomenal Females! We want to hear about the women mountain bikers who motivate your riding. Whether you know them personally or admire them from a far, we would like to hear about the technical wizards, the speed demons, the slow and steady, the down to earth divas, juggling it all.... Whether you are inspired by their skill or their character, their growth and determination or their bravery...we want to know about these women who help you get on the bike and stay on the bike. Who are they? Why are they awesome? What brought them to riding? What keeps them riding? What bike(s) do they ride? Favorite gear? Favorite pre (or post) ride eats? Let's hear it! Take the challenge, write us a post about your female inspiration and tag a Phenomenal Female!

Lisa Maloney is busy, but not too busy to co-chair the Sponsorship Committee for the 2020 NEMBA Women’s Summit. She’s set the bar high for them to raise a lot of money!

Happily married to Tom with a beloved Brittany named Benji, she works as a Communications Officer at Yale University, is VP of Central CT NEMBA, a Liv Cycling USA Ambassador, and her life’s goal is to ride in all 50 states (currently at 37)!

Lisa loves mountain biking because of the thrill, freedom, and the “super chill” mountain bikers she meets. “Deep in the woods, away from noise and bustle--you have to really focus on the trail ahead, that’s what I love... Mountain bikers I think have a great vibe. While I also road bike, and enjoy that, the vibe is just different.”

Lisa returned to mountain biking after an 8-year hiatus, joining a group of great women who “had baggy shorts, full-suspension bikes, and full-face helmets. I loved it…” Now she plans rides and events, builds trails, and gets things done with her NEMBA chapter.

Let’s show Lisa Mary our appreciation! ❤️
