and Sean Bell’s new project brings early and contemporary music into dialogue — and with it, questions of European identity in a time of growing polarisation. At its core: a new work by Italian composer-pianist Petra Cini, drawing on Antonio Valente’s Intavolatura de Cimbalo (1576), and new arrangements by Norwegian countertenor Sean Bell of John Coprario’s Funeral Tears (1606) — both for piano, synths, voice, baroque guitar and electronics.
