17 lỗi sai phổ biến nhất khi viết IELTS Writing Task 1 (bảng biểu) thường nằm ở Task Achievement, Grammar và Data Selection. Dưới đây là những lỗi giám khảo gặp rất nhiều:

1. Không viết overview hoặc overview quá yếu
Đây là lỗi bị trừ điểm rất nặng.
❌ Sai:
* Chỉ liệt kê số liệu từng dòng
* Không nêu xu hướng chính
✅ Đúng:
Overview phải chỉ ra:
* xu hướng lớn nhất
* điểm nổi bật nhất
* cái cao nhất/thấp nhất
* tăng/giảm chung
Ví dụ:
Overall, the percentage of renewable energy increased significantly, while coal usage declined steadily throughout the period.

2. Liệt kê số liệu như “máy đọc dữ liệu”
Nhiều bài chỉ:
A was 20%. B was 30%. C was 40%.
=> Band khó vượt 6.
✅ Cần:
* so sánh
* nhóm dữ liệu
* dùng xu hướng
Ví dụ tốt:
Company B consistently recorded higher figures than Company A, despite both experiencing gradual growth.

3. Chọn sai dữ liệu để mô tả
Không cần viết tất cả số.
❌ Sai:
* cố nhét mọi data point
* mô tả chi tiết vô nghĩa
✅ Đúng:
Chỉ chọn:
* điểm nổi bật
* thay đổi lớn
* cực trị
* pattern đáng chú ý

4. Dùng sai thì (tense)
Rất phổ biến.
* Có năm quá khứ → past simple
* Dự đoán tương lai → future tense
* Không có thời gian → present simple
❌ Sai:
The number increase from 20 to 50 in 2010.
✅ Đúng:
The number increased from 20 to 50 in 2010.

5. Dùng động từ không hợp với biểu đồ
Ví dụ:

6. Nhầm giữa “increase” noun và verb

(vì không phải ai làm nó tăng)

7. Dùng từ miêu tả xu hướng quá đơn giản
Lặp:
* increase
* decrease
* go up
* go down
Band cao cần range rộng hơn:
Tăng
* rise
* climb
* surge
* soar
* grow
Giảm
* decline
* drop
* fall
* plunge
* dip

8. Miêu tả sai mức độ tăng giảm
Ví dụ tăng từ 10 → 11 mà viết:
skyrocketed
=> exaggeration.
Cần match:
* slight
* moderate
* significant
* dramatic
với data thật.

9. Thiếu so sánh
Task 1 rất cần comparative language.
❌ Chỉ mô tả riêng lẻ.
✅ Dùng:

* lower than

10. Dùng “respectively” sai

(nhưng thứ tự không khớp)
Nhiều người dùng bừa để “trông học thuật”.

Band cao thường biết chia nhóm.

* nhóm giảm
* nhóm ổn định
=> bài logic hơn rất nhiều.
