Remember, you can start dropping animals off at 7:30am. Be sure to check yesterday’s post and your emails for important details!! And stay tuned and keep an eye on our social media pages for updates throughout the day. 👀

🍀 PARKING/ANIMAL DROP OFF 🍀
Gates will be open by 7:30am Saturday morning for animal drop off. There will be NO PARKING ON THE FAIRGROUNDS. When you arrive, feel free to drive through and drop your animals off. AS SOON AS YOUR ANIMALS ARE IN A PEN (goat and lamb pens plus steer barn will be available for holding animals), WE ASK THAT YOU EXIT THE FAIRGROUNDS AND PARK IN THE BACK (NORTH) PARKING LOT.

You will enter into the NORTH parking lot from 2 1/2 E, drive through the NORTH back gate, drop off animals, then drive OUT the EAST gate in front of the JLC office to PARK YOUR VEHICLES AND TRAILERS in the back NORTH parking lot.

It’s the same routine as Fair.

🍀 SHOWING OUT OF TRAILERS 🍀
Showing out of your own trailer is totally fine and welcomed!

🍀 CLEAN YOUR ANIMALS 🍀
Please make sure your animals are clean. They do NOT have to fitted entirely but we do want them CLEAN.

🍀 SICK ANIMALS 🍀
If your animal is showing ANY signs of illness — ANY — you will be asked to leave. Our Yuma County Fair is RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. Please do not put other people’s animals at risk!! If it is brought to our attention that your animal looks sick or is showing any signs of illness, you WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE.

🍀 SHOWMANSHIP 🍀
Remember, showmanship is what we will be focusing on Saturday (TOMORROW). We want to see what YOU and your animal can do! It’s a team effort!

🍀 SMALL ANIMAL PARENTS 🍀
WE RECOMMEND BRINGING A CHAIR as bleacher space is VERY LIMITED over by the small animal area.

🍀 WHAT TO WEAR 🍀
SAILA SHOW ATTIRE OR 4H SHOW ATTIRE REQUIRED. Exhibitors are WELCOME to wear 4H show attire BUT it is not REQUIRED. SAILA show attire is a nice blouse/button down shirt, jean pants with no rips, appropriate shoes (close toed, canvas or leather — no crocs or rain boots). Be sure to wear an undershirt if you choose to wear a white shirt — no logos and solid.

Please NO MIDRIFF SHOWING in or out of your show clothes.

Last year’s judges 🙌🏽

We are so thankful for those who volunteer their time to make our county wide pre-fair a success!! It takes a village.

And since it’s Thursday, here’s a little “throwback” So thankful for our judges from last year and are looking forward to an amazing day of showing and memories THIS SATURDAY!

DON’T FORGET
• Show attire
4H show clothes are not required, HOWEVER, show attire/ etiquette is expected. Nice shirt/blouse, jeans with no rips and appropriate canvas or leather shoes. Remember to brush that hair, tuck in those shirts and bring a good attitude!! 🙌🏽
• A pillow
Pillows will be collected at the show to be donated to the Crossroads Mission
