Tomorrow, May 30th!

A Retrospective Gala

Save this date, Saturday May 30, 7-10pm, for J.J. Lewis-Nichols’ “Restrospective” at the Siskiyou Performing Arts Center.

After 43 years of directing and acting in musicals, dramas, comedies, Shakespeare and a once-a-week class in “Acting/Directing/Playwriting” J. J. retired. There are almost 100 posters out of 143 shows of her work with fabulous photos from 1982-2025.

To celebrate, S**C will have an amazing gala to showcase these posters on our theater’s walls. Our in-house band, North State Outlaws will play and we have delicious food goodies (some prepared by Lacey Williams of “Silver Spoons”) with wine and beer.

All ticket proceeds go to S**C for our buildings, scholarships, benefits, and updated equipment.

Tickets will be sold at the door; 6.30pm doors open. $20 per guest or $25 which includes beer and wine. If you cannot attend but would like to benefit S**C, send a check to S**C, P.O. Box 407, Yreka, CA 96097.

Do come for this extravaganza, honoring all our actors, artists, techs, S**C, and J.J. ‘s body of work.

It’s 1992, and the lively residents of the Magnolia Place Senior Home become concerned about medication, a recent outbreak of memory loss, and a strange pill that shows up in their medicine cups. Meet Beatrice Shelton-retired burlesque queen, church going Eaddy Mae Clayton, Maude Jenkins who is obsessed with planning her funeral, Imogene Fletcher the newest resident, Sam Smith a Casanova and Ex-Elvis impersonator, and of course mean Nurse Pat and her aide Ruby Sue. Join us as we follow the Senior Gals on the Go as they sleuth out the latest mystery, plan their vacation, and end up involved in the Senior Miss Magnolia Pageant! Great fun for mature audiences, plus two matinees to catch those aiming for the early bird special, and those avoiding night driving…in other words US…proud senior citizens!
