Attention Canadian Sailors: The Niagara on the Lake Sailing Club is blocking off dock space for Canadian boats wishing to participate in the Dyneema® CanAm/LYRA Race Week. The dockage will be available from Friday July 23 (check-in time) to Thursday July 29 (check-out time). They are holding these dates until Friday, July 16 at the end of the day. There is space for 6-7 35' boats along their front wall and 5-6 30' boats in their river finger docks. These slips will be let out as per normal reciprocal protocol. Hey there - some exciting news - we are combining the CanAm and LYRA Course Racing to one great weekend, July 24 & 25th. We have been locked down for 15 months (or more) - let's get back out there and make this a HUGE event with tons of boats and loads of fun. Due the the low pre-registration numbers and the likelihood that the US/Canadian border will not completely open in time; this week, the LYRA Board of Directors approved the following schedule REVISIONS (please "see more" to read all details):

Sat and Sun 24-25: Combined LYRA/CanAm Course Racing: 2 events for the price of one! Awards at conclusion of racing on Sunday. Register at: https://www.yachtscoring.com/emenu.cfm?eID=13256. Boats now entered in CanAm are AUTOMATICALLY entered in LYRA. Register today!

Monday 26: Pursuit race to Wilson/Olcott and return. This is NOT an official LYRA event. It is JUST FOR FUN! Sign up instructions are to be announced. The one-way pursuit race to Olcott, originally scheduled for this date, is CANCELLED.

Tues 27: Centennial: YYC Mark 5, R2, Olcott, R2, YYC Mark 5 (36NM). This REPLACES the Centennial from Rochester.

Tues 27: Founder's Cup: YYC Mark 5, R2, Wilson, R2, YYC Mark 5 (26NM). This REPLACES the Founder's South from Olcott. The LYRA board of directors is working to RESCHEDULE the Founder's NORTH race to align with the evolving Covid situation in Canada.

Wed 28: Freeman: Long and Short as previously published. The LYRA board of directors is working to set up a Freeman race or races in Canada to align with the evolving Covid situation in Canada.

Thurs 29: Centennial, Founder's and Freeman Awards around dinnertime

For those of you that scheduled time off, lined up crew and invested in your program, please know that we are sensitive to your investment and thank you for the commitment.
