Voices Conference

Voices Conference Voices is an annual retreat for women who have experienced abuse in their lives. Statistics tell us that one in three women has been abused.

This retreat is a time of prayer, teaching, and reflection, where women can FIND THEIR VOICES AGAIN. The Voices Conference began in 2014 as a ministry of Providence Presbyterian Church, and has run annually ever since. This is a day-long retreat/conference specifically designed to bring refreshment and hope to women who have experienced domestic abuse.

New Every Morning
by The Porter's Gate

You are not what you have done
Or what has been done to you
You are something like the rising sun
Can't you see that you are new

You might have your father's name
Or bear the shame he left behind
But there's new life flowing through your veins
Leave some room to be surprised

You are new every morning
You are new every morning
Each day a resurrection waiting to break through

You could try just for a start
To put the judge back on thе shelf
All the lovingkindness in your hеart
Have a little for yourself

You are new every morning
You are new every morning
Each day a resurrection waiting to break through
You are new

You think hope is lost but it's just underground
The flame might be an ember but the fire won't go out
All the evidence is pointing to the truth
That daily resurrection is still happening in you

You are new every morning
You are new every morning
Each day a resurrection waiting to break through
You are new

Joy Forrest, founder of Called to Peace Ministries will be the keynote speaker for this year's Voices Conference on November 8, 2025.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. Will you stand for justice?

Follow Called to Peace Ministries for life-saving resources and information regarding domestic violence and other forms of abuse.

💜 It starts tomorrow. Will you stand with her?

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and for the next 31 days, we’ll be shining a light on a truth that so many still try to keep in the shadows.

But this isn’t just about awareness—it’s about action.
It’s about survivors who’ve been silenced for too long.
It’s about churches that are waking up.
It’s about making sure that the next woman who reaches out doesn’t have to walk alone.

Here’s how you can help:

📣 Follow along. We’ll be sharing stories, stats, tools, and truths all month long. (link in comments)
📲 Engage. Share. Speak up. Your voice could be the one that helps someone realize that she’s not crazy. That she’s not alone.
🎁 Download our FREE Marketing Toolkit to equip your church, business, or platform with tools to take a stand against domestic violence.
🕯️ Mark your calendar for our Candlelight Vigil (details coming soon) to honor survivors and those we’ve lost.

Because tomorrow—we speak up for the ONE in three who have been impacted by abuse.
For the woman sitting in church, afraid to speak.
For the children living in fear.
For the ones who wonder if God sees.

He does.
And so do we.
Let’s stand together.

Daughters of Zion
by The Porter's Gate

When will the truth come out?
When will your justice roll down?
When will your kingdom come
And evil be undone?
When will the wicked kneel?
And the abused be healed?
When will our sisters speak
With no more shame or fear?

How long? How long?

When will the daughters of Zion rejoice
In the house of the Lord?

Out of the miry clay
We will rise up some day
Sorrow won′t always last
The dark will surely pass
Woe to the wicked ones
For what their hands have done
God is our righteous judge
And He will raise us up

So how long? How long?

When will the daughters of Zion rejoice
In the house of the Lord?

So let your justice roll down
Let your justice roll down
Let your justice roll down
Let your justice roll down (repeat)

How long? How long?
When will the daughters of Zion rejoice

Marriage matters to God—but people matter more.

God created marriage as a reflection of Christ’s love for the Church. But Jesus didn’t die to save an institution—He died to save people.

He laid down His life to protect His sons and daughters. And He grieves when they are abused, violated, or humiliated—especially in the very relationship that was meant to mirror His love.

Scripture makes God’s heart unmistakably clear:
He defends the oppressed.
He holds leaders accountable for how they care for His sheep.
(See Ezekiel 34 and Jeremiah 23)

🕊️ This October, during Domestic Violence Awareness Month, we invite you—churches, ministries, businesses, and organizations—to stand with us in truth and compassion.

We’ve created a free, practical Marketing Tool Kit designed to help you speak up, educate, and bring awareness to the realities of domestic abuse in faith communities.

🧰 This year’s updated kit includes resources for:
• Churches and ministry leaders
• Businesses and community organizations
• Individuals looking to advocate in their own circles

Because silence enables abuse.
But education, action, and truth-telling help set people free.

👉 Download the kit and be a voice for the oppressed this October. https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1aYR3ls98ogBs5NB1Yx1Xi3-4TzYUWjzu
