A little history behind the lights. 🚨

Whelen’s Super Strobe® 6000 Series helped pave the way for generations of emergency lighting to come. Today, that same focus on visibility and innovation continues.

Taking a look back at where we came from with our Super Strobe® 6000 Series.

That 1975 lightbar was our first fully enclosed design — built to keep the weather out and the warning power going. Pretty aerodynamic for its day, too. It helped set the path for everything that followed.

Every generation since has been about the same thing: giving first responders better visibility when it counts. From those early strobes to the Super-LED bars on the road today. Proud of that history. Even prouder of where we’re headed.
