Yaphank Trail of Terror

Yaphank Trail of Terror The Yaphank Trail of Terror is an annual haunted attraction to support the Yaphank Presbyterian Church and Curtain Up Entertainment.

We run during the last three weekends in October. The Yaphank Trail of Terror is a reincarnation of a previous haunted trail at the Yaphank Presbyterian Church. Throughout its existence beginning in the late 1990's, the Church has identified with a few different names: Yaphank's Tales of the Haunted Forest, Yaphank Haunted Trail and the Yaphank Trail of Terror. After a 5 year hiatus the Trail of T

error was resurrected in 2013. Each year since we've grown in many ways not the least of which is creating a scarier trail for our victims. Every year we add more activities besides the trail for our victims to participate or enjoy from our bonfire, concession stand, human hamster ball racetrack and Classic Outdoor Movie Theater!

It's been a while since we posted and we apologize for that. Since we closed our most successful season ever last November 1, we've been pondering many ways to make the whole experience of the Yaphank Trail of Terror better. A few weeks back a few staff members took a trip to the East Coast Haunters Convention in Philly and saw a lot of cool things and talked with a lot of people. After spending quite a bit of money (you gotta spend it to make it, right?) we are looking to make quite a few changes to the trail itself and the pre/post trail experience in the field. This will probably be the most extensive overhaul that we've attempted in the 13 years we've been open. Keep an eye out over the next few weeks for more information.

3 more nights to go! This Friday and Saturday and Saturday, November 1! Don't miss out!

Our trail is essentially waiting line free! You'll get a group number when you buy tickets and then you join the waiting line only when your group number is called.

Big thank you to everyone that came out to support us and make this one of our best weekends ever! Also a shout out to our cast and crew, many of whom are volunteers, for bringing the scares all night long and giving the same show to our guests at 11pm that they do at 7pm. Three more nights of scares to go so don't miss out on a great time!

In light of various incidents at our trail and other local haunted attractions regarding the behavior of unaccompanied minors we feel the need to explain our current policy. Minors 14 and younger will not be allowed on premises without a parent or guardian, age 25 or older. This includes the trail itself as well as our waiting field and parking lot. A parent or guardian can supervise up to 5 minors in their party. An additional parent or guardian must be present for each subsequent group of 5 youth in a given party. Parents and guardians are expected to supervise the minors in their party at all times. Should unacceptable behavior occur, 1 warning will be issued. If the behavior continues the entire party will be ejected from the property with no refund. Unaccompanied minors between the age of 15-17 are allowed on premises without parent or guardian supervision but are expected to behave themselves or they too will be subject to the aforementioned consequences. Harassment, assault both physically and verbally and disrespectful behavior towards cast, crew and other guests will not be tolerated at any point. Should any guest refuse to leave the property after being told to do so they will be trespassed and the police will be called.

The Trail of Terror is a fundraising activity and a fun event for the Long Island community. Before dropping your minors off to our trail, please have a conversation with them about proper behavior. If you don't - we will.
