WYVACON is more than just a celebration of science fiction, fantasy, and gaming. We're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting childhood literacy and inspiring young readers through the power of imagination.

AND WE NEED YOUR HELP!

During our upcoming Monthly Game Day, we're collecting children's books to help support our literacy mission!

We're looking for new or gently used children's books of all kinds!

Picture books and early readers

Chapter books for elementary and middle school readers

Science fiction and fantasy books for young readers

Graphic novels and age-appropriate comic books

Young adult novels

Whether it's one book or an entire box, every donation helps us encourage the next generation of readers!

Simply bring your book donations with you to WYVACON's Monthly Game Day on October 25th.

Come enjoy an afternoon of gaming, meet fellow members of our fandom community, and help us make a difference in the lives of young readers!

Remember rushing home from school, grabbing a snack, and planting yourself in front of the TV to catch your favorite cartoons?

We're taking a trip back to the days before streaming, smartphones, and on-demand television!

Today, WYVACON wants to know which after-school classic was your favorite!

TEAM SCOOBY-DOO – Mystery-solving teenagers, a talking Great Dane, the Mystery Machine, and villains who would've gotten away with it if it weren't for those meddling kids!

TEAM FLINTSTONES – Fred, Barney, Wilma, Betty, and the whole Bedrock gang bringing us prehistoric laughs. Yabba Dabba Doo!

📚 WE NEED CHILDREN’S BOOKS! 📚

WYVACON needs your help!

One of the most important parts of our mission is encouraging childhood literacy and helping young readers discover the excitement of a great book. To continue that mission, we are asking our community for donations of new or gently used children’s books.

We especially welcome:

📖 Children’s books for all reading levels
🚀 Science Fiction
🐉 Fantasy
🦸 Superhero & Adventure Stories
👻 Age-appropriate Horror & Spooky Stories
📚 Graphic Novels & Comics
✨ Any books that can help a child discover a love of reading!

We need MORE books so we can reach MORE kids.

If you have books sitting on a shelf that your children have outgrown, consider giving those stories another adventure by donating them to WYVACON.

Businesses, organizations, schools, authors, publishers, and individuals are all welcome to help!

Every donated book is another opportunity to put a story into the hands of a young reader.

Help us fill some bookshelves and build the next generation of readers!
