We're excited to welcome Michigan native Dave Shuten back to the Metro Cruise. Dave actually won 'Best in Show' at the inaugural Metro Cruise, and since then has built the widely popular Galpin Speed Shop in California, and been on numerous TV shows including Car Kings on the Discovery Channel and on Hot Rod Television. He'll be at the Main Event at Rogers Plaza both days of Metro Cruise weekend.

Hey friends, we need help making a new feature of Metro Cruise come to life!

You might have seen that at our new PIT STOP at Oakestown-Borgman site, we're planning on having a Matchbox/Hot Wheels car exchange. But - we'll need some donations to get this going! Do have you 50, 100, 500 cars you could donate to us? The kids will appreciate it... they will be bringing in some of their own cars to exchange for these.

Car owners - we have a question for you, please answer! Do you have any type of antique, classic, or collector car FOR SALE? At one of our Pit Stop sites this year, we're debating whether or not to have a CLASSICS FOR SALE area. It would be free, and with high visibility and us promoting, it might be the best place to park your car during an already-busy collector car weekend. We would want interest/commitments from at least 10 cars to make this happen. Please confirm if you'd be interested!! Comment or Message us with any questions.

You could leave your car overnight Friday and Saturday (8/25-26) but must be picked up by Sunday.

METRO CRUISE ANNOUNCES PIT STOP SITES

Hi friends, we have a major announcement, and as our social media follower, you are hearing it here first!

Our committee is proud to announce a brand-new feature of Metro Cruise, the launch of our new PIT STOP sites. There are now more ways than ever to enjoy your favorite auto event. Based on your feedback and requests a desire to reach more people, these sites will be much smaller than our Main Event sites (Rogers Plaza Mall and Woodland Mall), will be more specialized, have unique features, and offer easier access.

Each PIT STOP site will host a minimum of 4 key pieces – collector car club(s), food vendor(s), Metro-Merch (official Metro Cruise merchandise), and a unique auto-related entertainment feature. Each site will be completely unique in it’s offerings. They will all be open to the public with space for free parking. If you have a collector car and are cruisin’ 28th Street, the sites will also have a reserved (temporary) collector car parking area.

This year we are launching 3 PIT STOPS, with hopefully more being added for the 2024 Metro Cruise. This year's 3 sites will be:
* Metro Cruise PIT STOP at Cascade Retail Center (28th & Cascade Rd in the Fōwling Warehouse Grand Rapids parking lot)
* Metro Cruise PIT STOP at Betten Baker Grand Rapids (28th & Dixie Ave in Grandville)
* Metro Cruise PIT STOP at Oakestown-Borgman (28th & Ivanrest; parking lots of Borgman Ford Mazda and Adesanya Mead & Microbrewery at the Oakestown Mall)
