We’re inviting a select group of bars and restaurants to take part in the Detroit River Cocktail Showdown, an elevated cocktail competition hosted inside District 142 in Downtown Wyandotte on Saturday, November 7, 2026.

This is your opportunity to showcase your cocktail program in front of an engaged audience of enthusiasts and industry peers—highlighting creativity, presentation, and the overall experience your team brings behind the bar.

🍹 Participating establishments will:
• Present a featured cocktail for guest sampling
• Be part of a curated lineup of standout local venues
• Gain meaningful exposure in a high-energy, upscale setting

The evening is driven by guest experience, with attendees sampling and voting for their favorites—making both flavor and presentation key to standing out.

Detroit River Cocktail Showdown will feature top bartenders from bars and restaurants around Metro Detroit to showcase their uniquely crafted cocktails. Approx. twenty (20) bartenders / bars competing for bragging rights and a trophy. Each will be assigned a spirit prior to the event. Then each bartender is challenged to make the best craft cocktail partnered with a specialty spirit brand coupled with their ingenuity. Cocktail enthusiasts will have the chance to sample cocktails made with premium liquors and ingredients and vote for the best cocktail based on taste and presentation!

VIP Sampling Package includes: commemorative glass, ten sampling tickets, and a vote card. Plus, early entry to District 142 at 6pm (one hour prior to doors), First taste of the cocktail entries, Strolling hors d'oeurves provided by Latitudes Restaurant & Bar and The Iron Gate.

General Admission Cocktail Sampling will take place from 7pm - 11pm. Ticket holders will receive a commemorative glass, ten sampling tickets, and a vote card.

Must be 21+ with valid ID. The main bar will be open offering beer, liquor, soda and water.

Detroit River Cocktail Showdown will feature top bartenders from local bars and restaurants along the Detroit Riverfront and Metro Detroit to showcase their uniquely crafted cocktails. Shakers will be flailing through the air on Nov 2 in Downtown Wyandotte. Positioned inside District 142 - Live Music & Event Venue there will be approx. twenty (20) bartenders / bars competing for bragging rights and an epic trophy. Each will be assigned a spirit prior to the event. Then each bartender is challenged to make the best craft cocktail partnered with a specialty spirit brand coupled with their ingenuity. Cocktail enthusiasts will have the chance to sample cocktails made with premium liquors and ingredients and vote for the best cocktail based on taste and presentation!
