We’re setting The Table again. ❤️

There are a lot of reasons people gather inside these old walls—weddings, birthdays, showers, meetings, celebrations (and you’ll want to tune in tomorrow for photos of the celebration this weekend!). But The Table has become one of our favorites.

The Table is simple. We make a meal, pull up some chairs, put a few good questions on the table, and invite people to come sit with us. You can come with a friend. You can come by yourself. You can know everybody in the room or absolutely nobody.

That last part is kind of the point.

At our last Table, we laughed a lot, learned things about people we thought we already knew, heard stories we wouldn’t have heard otherwise, and watched strangers become a little less strange to one another.

So we’re doing it again.

There’s a seat for you if you’d like it. ❤️

🚨 BREAKING NEWS FROM DOWNTOWN WOODVILLE 🚨

I am pleased to report that the extra block of color at the bottom of the “i” has been removed.

The mural is now safe for public viewing. 😂

Thank you to all who brought this matter to our attention. We can all sleep peacefully tonight.

And for those of you who didn’t notice it until somebody pointed it out and then couldn’t unsee it (🙋🏻‍♀️), here’s a new picture of our beautiful mural, now minus its controversial little extra appendage.

All is well in Woodville again. ❤️

We posted this in the official FB event, but I wanted to share here it because social media algorithms can be strange. Maybe someone who hasn’t seen previous posts will catch this one.

When we purchased Planters in 2019, our goal was simple: to create a place that fostered community.

In 2024, we personally began inviting people from different walks of life to private events we called “The Table”—dozen or so people coming together for a meal and conversation.

Now we are publicly launching an official monthly gathering of the same name and purpose.

We believe tables are where conversation and understanding begin. The Table isn’t just another dinner party. It’s a place where stories are told, where meals are shared, and where strangers become neighbors. It’s where friendships form, ideas take root, and community happens.

In a world that seems to be angling for the next dollar, more likes and shares, or more clout, the mission of The Table may seem too simple: to create a space where people feel they belong. But that’s it. It really is that simple.

Join us for an evening of stories, conversation, music, food, coffee. Bring a friend. Leave with a new one.

✨ We’ll show you photos of the decor, but 1-year-old twins Ka’Mani and Ka’Marion were the real stars of this celebration! A colorful Lilo & Stitch luau theme set the stage, and custom marquee letters took it to another level. Shout out to their dad JaQuarious for being such a fabulous return client! ✨

And if you’re bothered by that extra block of color on the “i” (see our previous post if you have no idea what I’m talking about), you are really going to lose your mind when you start counting from 1 to 25 and realize there’s a number missing!

In all seriousness though, imperfections happen, and I’ve learned to embrace them. When we allow others to see our own mistakes, it gives them permission to be imperfect, too! That’s how grace works—and that’s something we could use a lot more of in this world.

Now y’all let me know when you figure out what number is missing!😉
