McHenry County Fair Talent Contest

McHenry County Fair Talent Contest 61st Annual Talent Contest at the McHenry County Fair
Friday, August 1, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. This was an effort to end the fair with an evening event.

In 1965, at the request of then fair president, the late Don Hansen, the McHenry County Fair Talent Contest was started by chairman W.H. "Bill" Tammeus, to be held on Sunday evening, the last day of the fair. In 1967, the contest was moved up to Friday evening because the contestants were not properly recognized by the media with pictures and contest results.
